ABOUT THE NOBLE
The “Noble Hotel” is a historic landmark of Lander, Wyoming. Once the definition of luxury and class in the early 1900’s. Aiming to be the “swellest hotel west of the Mississippi”, the Noble construction was completed in 1918. Walking into the lobby of the Noble is like stepping back in time. As the scorching summer sun shines through the Tiffany stained glass windows and skylight, the original tile floors echo the memories of cowboy boots and petticoats. The original Bison, Elk, Moose and Antelope mounts watch from the mezzanine with its dark oak accents, stained glass chandeliers and dimly lit sconces.
NOLS purchased the hotel in 1973, and since then it has primarily been used to house NOLS students and instructors. The hotel today functions more like a Hostel than a traditional hotel. The hotel rooms on the second floor have been modified to accommodate large groups of students. Bunk rooms sleep 4 to 6 people per room. The third floor has a variety of room options; 2 full beds, 1 twin bed and 1 full bed, 1 queen bed. All beds are topped with a mattress pad and are unmade; sheets, towels, and blankets are provided. Guests are responsible for making and stripping their own beds. Each floor has two communal bathrooms. Keeping to the rustic vibe, there is no AC on the 2nd or 3rd floors. Each room is equipped with either a ceiling fan or box fan for the hot nights.
The Noble also boasts many different size rooms for special events. No matter the occasion or the size of your gathering, the Noble has the space for you! From small meeting rooms, to full reception celebrations, we have a wide range of options and pricing to meet your needs.
